Zuala was the wife of Yasha Nydoorin and a member of the Dolorav tribe.
Description[]
Zuala had tangled brown hair and brown eyes.[3] She was dressed in brown and wore blue jewelry. After going through the Marking I had a purple diagonal line under each eye going across each cheek.[4]

Background[]
Zuala was not originally a member of the Dolorav, arriving when both she and Yasha were in their teens. She and Yasha trained together learning combat skills, and became very close friends.[5] They were both chosen for "The Marking", a testing ritual marking their acceptance as warriors of the tribe,[6] and as such, were bound to follow the strict rules of the tribe wherein each member was assigned a mate by the Skyspear.

However, Zuala and Yasha fell in love and married in secret.[7] When the Skyspear assigned a mate for Zuala, she refused and confronted the Skyspear, who executed her.[8][9] Yasha escaped their tribe during Zuala's execution, and thus did not witness her death.[10]
Zuala was buried in an unmarked grave on the southern banks of the Seepfeed River, which much later, Beauregard helped Yasha find.[11]

- Little is known about Zuala's original culture before joining the Dolorav, except that they had an appreciation for plants are flowers for their uses, meaning and beauty. For them, the blue star of promise (a flower with blue petals) had a meaning in the language of flowers: "You have captured my heart".[14]
- Zuala was the only person Yasha had ever been with before Yasha met the Mighty Nein.[17]
