The Zemni Fields are the northernmost region of the Dwendalian Empire.
Description[]
Stretching from Bysaes Tyl in the north to Pride's Call in the south, and from Icehaven in the west to the eastern Dunrock Mountains, the Zemni Fields consist of rolling fertile plains, dense forests, and ice-covered mountains.[1]
History[]
The Zemni Fields were the birthplace of the Dwendalian Empire. When the Age of Arcanum floating city of Zemniaz was brought down during the Calamity, its survivors managed to eke out an existence in the cold regions of northwestern Wildemount, founding the cities of Icehaven and Yrrosa. The limited fertility of the area hampered growth until the establishment of the city of Rexxentrum in the more clement region near the Pearlbow Wilderness. As Rexxentrum grew into a major seat of power, a wealthy merchant of the city named Eckhardt Dwendal was able in 539 PD to create a monarchy, with his son Manfried ruling as the first Dwendalian king.[2]
The Zemnian population continued to expand, pressing southward to the fringes of the fertile Marrow Valley of the Julous Dominion and eventually leading to the Marrow War.
