Winged boots are a magical item that grants the wearer flight for a limited time.
Description[]
While wearing these boots, one has a flying speed equal to one's walking speed. The boots have a time bank of up to 4 hours, which can be used all at once or in shorter bursts of a minimum of 1 minute; they regain 2 hours of flight for every 12 hours they are not being used. If the wearer is in flight when the banked time expires, they descend at a rate of 30 feet per round.[1]
History[]
Trent Ikithon wore a pair of winged boots in "Fond Farewells" (2x141) when he confronted the Mighty Nein at the Blooming Grove. The boots were taken from him by the Nein before they turned him over to the Cobalt Soul.[2]
Dorian Storm owns an ancestral pair of winged boots, passed down through his family. They were used for the first time in "By the Road" (E1x04), as part of his presentation in Byroden's Forever Byroden pageant.[3] These boots again appear with him in Campaign Three, where they were first used there in "Trial by Firelight" (3x02) to allow Dorian and Laudna to scout the roof of a warehouse.[4]
