Willi is a squat humanoid figure made from durable adamantine, standing at around four feet tall with large shoulders and two large fists. Within his chest cavity is the crystal that powers him. He has two small slits for eyes that glow when active, but no mouth so he is incapable of speech.
William was built largely from already finished golem parts, likely left unfinished by Halas.
"From Door to Door" (2x81)
When the Mighty Nein arrived in Halas' Golem Workshop, Caleb noticed rough guidelines on how to potentially construct a golem servant for their own use, with partially complete parts. Despite their time constraints the Nein decided to attempt it: Fjord and Jester carrying heavy materials, Beau keeping track of the correct arcane sigils, Nott managing the complicated clockwork parts within the chest, and Caduceus succeeding in bestowing the Wildmother's blessing on the golem. Once ready, Caleb completed the enchantment to power him; Willi came to consciousness and immediately imprinted on Caleb, who dubbed him William. After some debate "Little Willi" was chosen as a nickname and the group continued to the next room with a new ally.
"The Beat of the Permaheart" (2x82)
When the Mighty Nein were fighting the Halas clone in his clone workshop, Willi was severely damaged. After the fight, however, Caleb was able to repair him part way.

"The Fancy and the Fooled" (2x97)
In exchange for learning the spell Globe of Invulnerability, Caleb transferred ownership of Willi from himself to Yussa.
