Vrocks are flying vulture-like demons, a horrific cross between a humanoid and a bird.
Appearance[]
Vrocks are long, lithe, vulture-like creatures, with giant wings, elongated necks, clawed hands with human-like fingers, and a long beak-like mouth full of teeth.[3][4] They have sickly-looking, dark greyish-purple scaled hide on the parts that aren't covered by harsh white feathers.[5][6] They have almost human-like long arms.[7] Their bodies and wings have a strong scent of offal.[2]
Vrocks are relatively unintelligent creatures that covet pretty things such as cheap jewelry or ornamental stones, which they acquire from the corpses of those they encounter.[2] They often swallow these trinkets, and sometimes a swallowed magical item prevents the body of a dead vrock from quickly dissolving into ichor as usually happens with demons.[8]
Abilities[]
Vrocks stun their prey with an ear-splitting shriek from above, then swoop down to attack with beak and claw. They can shake their wings to release clouds of poisonous spores.

Known vrocks[]
In Campaign Two, Fjord summoned a vrock using Summon Greater Demon in the battle in the Chantry of the Dawn, but Fjord was almost immediately seriously wounded and poisoned by the Inevitable End and lost concentration on the spell, freeing the vrock to attack whatever non-demon was nearest to it.[11]
Vrocks are known to pass from the Abyss to the Material Plane through a rift in the Betrayers' Rise,[12] and they can be encountered around Bazzoxan[8] and in the wastes of Xhorhas.[13]
Bells Hells were attacked by two vrocks in the Grey Valley but killed them relatively easily. They spotted more as they continued traveling but remained unseen by them.[14] More vrocks joined the battle in the Iridon Bastion but flew off when their leaders were killed.[15]
