On 18 January 2024, Dark Horse Comics announced a fourth series of six comics in the Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins series. Publication of the first comic in the series was on 29 May 2024, picking up where the prior series left off, with the party split between exploring the basement of Sir Fince's empty house and seeking information from the Clasp. The sixth and final issue was published on 28 May 2025.
Synopsis[]

"The gang is back and on a mission! Vox Machina is tasked to investigate the whereabouts of Sir Fince after his disappearance, and after some poking and prodding, clues lead the team to a mysterious basement. What dark surprises await our heroes in the bowels of his homestead?"[1]

"Geronimo! When Vox Machina decides to split the party, Vax and Pike find themselves face-to-face with a vicious chimera, and the rest of the crew has fallen into an underground cavern where who-knows-what awaits them! Will the group survive long enough to reunite?!"[2]

"Deep underground, the beleaguered members of Vox Machina are forced to take on an unpleasant—and incredibly dangerous—side quest. Their reward? Safe passage to fresh air and civilization, free from monstrously large bugs. Can they play exterminator long enough to reunite with Vax and Pike?"[3]

"Newly reunited, Vox Machina finds themselves in the company of an unexpected ally: Allura Vysoren, another member of the Tal'Dorei Council, who has information about the strange goings-on. One risky scrying spell later, the adventurers find themselves heading right back to where Vax and Pike started: the Clasp headquarters."[4]
