Vos'sykriss was a serpentfolk city on Visa Isle. It was destroyed during the Calamity.[1]

History[]

Vos'sykriss was once the capital city of an empire that stretched across southern Tal'Dorei. The city's destruction was foretold by its seers decades before it happened, and the people of Vos'sykriss created a magical field of stasis and selected a small number of elite citizens (through decades of tournaments that determined who was fit for survival)[2] to be put into it so that they could sleep through the danger and one day rebuild the city.[1]

An expedition to Visa Isle in 810 PD by Jorlund Vohr to the ruins of Vos'sykriss accidentally awakened these sleeping serpentfolk citizens.[3] As of 836 PD, the serpentfolk had still not made themselves known to the outside world,[1] but cartographer Tyriok Gadsworth was aware of the ruins and included them on a map requested by Seeker Odessa Tal'Dorei.[4] The ruins did not appear on his map from 812 PD.[5]

The people of Vos'sykriss were worshippers of Zehir, though more for power than out of respect.[2]
