The Verdant Guard are the armored defenders of Syngorn and its surrounding forests.[1] Vox Machina encountered one of the members of the guard, who was charmed in the Feywild,[2] and saw many more during their visit to Syngorn.[3]
Within the city of Syngorn, the guard is stationed at Beryl Keep and commanded by Verdant Lord Celindar. The total forces number five thousand, with many headquartered in the city, others stationed at various outposts throughout the Verdant Expanse, and still others stationed in the Feywild.[4] In addition to typical policing and military duties, the Verdant Guard serve as protectors of the Emerald Citadel.[5]
Watchers[]
Among the most elevated positions in the Verdant Guard in Syngorn are the Watchers, who guard the walls of the elven city. When Vox Machina entered Syngorn while it was in the Feywild, they were greeted by Watcher Iova.[6]
