Uther is a human wereboar living in Barinak. As an NPC, Uther is played by Matthew Mercer.
Description[]
When first encountered by Bells Hells, Uther was in the form of a massive wereboar with thick wiry dark gray tufted fur and a large snout with outward-curling tusks.[1] In his human form, he is a male in his late 50s to early 60s with short gray hair and a bushy beard, medium tan skin, and missing a few front teeth.[2]
Biography[]
Background[]
Uther was originally a member of the Claret Orders in Wildemount, wandering the Savalirwood.[3] He "left a wound on his past", doing enough damage to his home that he had to leave.[4]
"Compulsions" (3x40)[]
Uther was one of the Gorgynei party led by Annaline who confronted Bells Hells when they landed in the skyship Silver Sun seeking Divaasheela at Ajit Dayal's suggestion, in aid of Chetney Pock O'Pea's quest to learn more about his lycanthropic condition and how to achieve greater control over it. Uther provided Imogen Temult a ride to the village.
"The City of Flowing Light" (3x42)[]
The last morning Bells Hells spent in the Gloomed Jungles after Chetney's trial in Zha'Vrollo Uther praised Orym's technique with his sword, and the halfling talked to him about how the Wildmother had recently blessed the weapon. The wereboar explained how important weapons should have their own names, and showed him his own, Jaw Taker, named like that because of the way Uther killed its previous owner. Orym accepted his advice, although he also made the lycanthrope doubt if his weapon's name was good enough, so he started thinking of a new name.
