"UnDeadwood Part IV: Goodnight, Miss Miriam" (Ux04) is the fourth episode of the UnDeadwood mini-campaign. Our heroes close in on the necromancer after another personal loss, and come to realize justice takes many forms.

Synopsis[]

Unlike the previous non-moving corpses, Cynthia doesn't seem to have bite marks, which raises a lot more questions than it answers. As an aftereffect of Arabella's Mind Link spell, she sees Cynthia's soul for a moment and hears the voice of the snakelike creature from before, asking her to go back to the mining area and finish their "game". The group prepares for a big fight and buys 20 sticks of dynamite and 2 new horses amongst other neccessities. Next to the hole they see Doc Cohran. He claims that amongst the 6 of them he is "the one true servant" and slowly turns into that of a 3-headed snakelike humanoid creature, then attacks the group. The party is eventually victories, though reverend Mason and Mr. Fogg is injured in the battle. Using their special powers, they try to heal themselves, but Fogg fails and recieves a curse instead that makes him emotionless and forgetful for the next 6 days. They report back to Al Swearengen, get their payment - 1000$ gold each - and happy ending... Or not, though Clayton burned the stack of wanted posters he found, Swearingen has a copy of the one featuring Clayton and secretely hands it over to Aloysius Fogg. Under the effect of the curse, Fogg decides to invite Clayton to a duel in the name of justice, despite all the other characters trying to stop him. The match ends with Clayton's death, and thats where the series comes to an end as well.
