An Umavi (plural: Umavis or Umavi)[1][2] is a "perfect soul" who lived multiple lives through consecution and, having learned the purpose of their life on Exandria, is believed prepared to meet the Luxon.[3][2] Umavis hold a revered position in Kryn Dynasty society, and Dens that are led by an Umavi enjoy greater esteem than others.[2] The three ruling Dens of the Dynasty are helmed by an Umavi.[4]

Umavi perform duties related to consecution and worship of the Luxon; they direct others through the soul-binding process of consecution,[5] interpret the meaning behind the discovery of Luxon beacons, write the scripture of the Luxon faith,[6] and assist individuals through a ritual suicide called achess.[2] Many Umavi are skilled in dunamatic magic.[1] The highest Umavi keep secret the existence of typhros, a madness caused by an inability to reconcile memories of multiple lives.[2]

Known Umavis[]

There is a process by which a Kryn Dynasty soul is considered a candidate to become an Umavi during one of their lifetimes if they meet the appropriate requirements. The only known Umavi candidate is Sunbreaker Olomon.[9]
