Treev Bonebreaker is the inkeeper of The Debt's Respite tavern and a member of the mercenary group known as the Scarbearers.[2] As an NPC, he is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description[]

Appearance[]

Treev is a bronze-scaled, tailless dragonborn. He is bulky, muscular, and wears light hide armor and bracers.[4]

Personality[]

Treev is a little gruff and suspicious, but friendly.[5] He did, however, attempt to charge Vox Machina extra for their rooms because they were from out of town.[6]

Biography[]

Background[]

"The Streets of Ank'Harel" (1x65)[]

Vox Machina first met Treev in The Debt's Respite. Vex'ahlia told him about the fall of Draconia, which he drank to gladly. The party asked him about the one-eyed warrior-merchant known to possess Cabal's Ruin and Treev agreed to send a letter to her.

"A Traveler's Gamble" (1x66)[]

Vex asked Treev about fusaka, and he told her that it was somewhat expensive but he did have the spice available. The next morning, Scanlan, having learned fusaka was a spice and not a drug, asked Treev about the cost and Treev told him. Treev also provided the party with directions to the Crystal Chateau.

"The Chase to Glintshore" (1x67)[]

After finding out about the murder of Mistress Asharru, the party returned to tell Treev about the situation. He didn't trust them at first, but they managed to convince him they were not the ones who killed Mistress Asharru. Treev told them to kill the true murderer, Anna Ripley, and bring her hand to him.

"Daring Days" (1x86)[]

Vox Machina returned to the Debt's Respite after killing Anna Ripley. Treev was impressed that they returned, and even more impressed that they kept their word by giving him the mechanical hand of Ripley.
