Torth is a human blacksmith in Zephrah, and a craftsman of fine weapons and armor. As an NPC, Torth is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description[]

Torth had a massively thick dark brown beard worthy of a dwarf, bleached blond at the tips, falling to his mid-chest. His shoulder were big and broad, but his legs were undeveloped and he walked with the aid of two canes.[1]

Biography[]

Background[]

Torth had worked for some time creating weapons and armor for the higher-ranking members of the Air Ashari as well as diplomatic gifts for other tribes, and was regarded as a strong and focused craftsman. His smithy is located in a cavern in the northeast of Zephrah. His process includes hammering sage and other herbs into metallic objects as they are created, with a hint of magic involved so that they are strengthened rather than the opposite.[2]

"Aid of the Tempest" (3x66)[]

Bells Hells went to Torth's shop (in a cavern in the Northeast end of the village) while in Zephrah checking in on Keyleth after the Apogee Solstice, and Torth immediately recognized Orym, who ordered new leather armor to provide more coverage on his arms and legs. Torth noted he would enjoy the break from smithing to get back to leather work. The armor would be ready in a few days.

"Nice" (3x69)[]

When Orym returned for his new armor Torth told him that he needed a few more hours, after which he happily delivered the outfit requested, and free of charge, being aware of the halfling's new title, and the Voice of the Tempest's appreciation.
