Biography[]
"The Adventures of the Darrington Brigade" (Sx49)[]
In 826 P.D., Taryon Darrington welcomed the Owlbear at his estate in Deastokinviting him to contest for the position in the Darrington Brigade. The Owlbear went first, paired with Farriwen Breeze. Farriwen used her dope monk shit to knock out the Owlbear handily. At the end of her duel, Hazel Copperpot healed her opponent (Buddy) and the Owlbear.
The same day, the brigade went to investigate a meteorite-like object fallen in the nearby Cyrengreen Forest at the behest of Master Doolan Tversky. With the Owlbear in the lead, the party stealths loudly up to the 20-foot deep, 30-foot-wide crater, and the Owlbear, Buddy, Macaroni, and Damian came up to its edge. They noticed burnt feathers and duck-shaped shadows seared into its walls—the impact zone was once a duck pond. The Owlbear picked up flakes of clear, faintly glowing opalescent rock inside the crater, bringing some up to Taryon in a tinderbox.
They followed the tracks to a cavern at the edge of the mountains, which descended and eventually reached a large chamber with a pool of water at one end. In the water was a large (6 to 10-feet across) stone resembling the shards they found in the crater. They cautiously approached the pond, but the Owlbear accidentally knocked over a stalagmite. The stone raised up, revealing a massive swollen duck-like creature of green feathers and flesh, with four whipping tentacles protruding from its body. The stone was embedded within its back. Its name was Quackthulhu.
Campaign Three: Bells Hells[]
By 843 PD, The Owlbear is regarded as a folktale told to scare children and criminals in small villages.[6]
