The Chronicles of Exandria - The Mighty Nein Part Two is the fourth book of fan art published by the team at Critical Role. The book was written by Dani Carr in collaboration with Matthew Mercer and the Critical Role team. Originally scheduled to be published by Dark Horse Books on November 26, 2024,[1] it is now set to be released in both hardcover and deluxe editions on February 4, 2025.

"The saga of Exandria's famous adventurers continues in this second collection of art, narrative, and lore from the cast of Critical Role, as well as the Critter community!

"The Chronicles of Exandria: The Mighty Nein Part Two follows Critical Role's Mighty Nein campaign from their adventures in Xhorhas, to encounters with the Kryn and the Bright Queen, to discoveries at the Cinderrest Sanctum and in the belly of the Behemoth, all the way to events at the Whitedawn Lagoon."[2]

When Iva Deshin, the proprietor of Chastity's Nook bookshop in Zadash, discovers a Hat of Disguise in the store's lost-and-found bin, it inspires her to pursue her dream of becoming an author by joining the Mighty Nein and recording their adventures. To that end, she pursues them in their travels up through the peace negotiations ending the War of Ash and Light, meeting and interviewing many of those they had encountered. She becomes friends with Yussa Errenis, who encourages her ambitions because they prove useful to him in his own attempts to keep tabs on the party. Eventually, when she and Yussa Scry on the undead Avantika's attack to recover Fjord's Cloven Crystal, she decides that the adventurers' life is not for her, although she is grateful for the experiences she has had and the lessons she has learned.

  • While not confirmed yet, given the range of content of this art book it is possible a third and last part will be made as continuation, in order to cover the last part of Campaign Two.
