A little confusionEdit
Question: Why are we putting "Other Gods" above the "Lesser Idols". Crysa-Thul has never come up on stream, and Ladueger was only mentioned in the very earliest episode and wasn't even in the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount. Typically with navigation templates I've seen, you put the most important items first and the least important at the bottom. Therefore wouldn't it makes the most sense for the order to be
- Prime Deities
- Betrayer Gods
- Lesser Idols
- Demon Princes
- Other Gods
Second: Sarenrae has now been officially referred to as Raei in the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount. Shouldn't the wiki follow suit with the decisions made by the writers of EGtW and reflect the canon of Exandria? Third: Why is the Traveler the only deity to be referred to by his title rather than actual name? If there's a reason for it, I understand, but it looks kind of weird right now...
Response to above confusionEdit
First Point: Crysa-Thul is presumably an Atropal, which is a stillborn god. I can see Crysa-Thul being removed from the deity list, as it technicaly was never a god to begin with. I'm honestly undecided on what to do with Laduguer. He's certainly not a Prime or Betrayer, and is only worshipped by duergar. Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes talks about Laduguer as being a mortal who made a deal with Asmodeus to free his people from illithids and were then scorned by the rest of dwarvenkind. If we take this and apply it to Exandria, it sounds like Laduguer could be a Lesser Idol, but we don't have anything definitively canon to link that to.
Second Point: This wiki is first and foremost about Critical Role the show, and is about Exandria the setting second. The Everlight was referred to as Sarenrae by that name for the entire campaign, and was only changed to Raei by WotC to avoid infinging on Paizo's ownership of the name Sarenrae.
Third Point: The Traveler wasn't known to be Artagan for the longest time, and as such has two pages on the wiki: one for Artagan the Archfey as he appeared in the first campaign, and one for the Traveler the Lesser Idol as he appears in the second campaign.
Should we consider someday merging [[Artagan]] and [[The Traveler]]? I think it would be a good idea, not as a current top priority, but eventually.
