Synopsis[]

Talks with Kit Buss[]

  • Q: How Kit got to know CR cast?[1]
  • Q: How much does the cast describe characters and how much did you take creative liberties?
    • A: Liam gave her whole dive into "how tall is Vax and with hair that's probably about this length and it's got this kind of texture to it and he's got this many pouches and bags". Laura sent Kit one line: "make me look hot".
  • Q: How Critical Role shaped Kit's art and vice versa?
  • Q: What was Kit's first impression of Taryon when she was creating the official art for him?[2]
    • A: Kit received the commission on Tuesday, two days before "Daring Days" (1x86). The description she got for Taryon was: "Richard Branson meets Tony Stark with the dash of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast".
  • Q: Will Kit return on CR, particularly for the joint with Zahra?[3]
  • Q: Which episodes of CR invoked the most powerful reactions?[4]
  • Q: What are some of your biggest artistic influences?[5]
    • A: Marvel, DC, Sky Doll comics.
  • Q: What was the inpiration for Lillith? Does Kit unfolds her story further after Lillith parted ways with VM?
    • A: Lillith was inspired by the Doll from the Broodborn RPG. Hopefully in the near future Kit will manage to publish a comic featuring Lillith.
  • Q: What is your less favorite thing to draw?[6]
    • A: Joints of a humanoid body (feet, legs)

Main[]

  • Q: Does Keyleth/Marisha nurture a hope that Vilya is still alive?[7]
    • A: Both Marisha and Keyleth are hoping that Vilya is not alive, because the opposite outcome means Keyleth's mother survived but didn't make herself known.
  • Q: Does Percy think Vex may get jealous of his blooming relationship with Tary as a tinkerer?[8]
  • Q by arsequeef: Will Vax support Keyleth, if her mother does turn out to be dead?[9]
  • Q: If your character would become a pirate, what will be their name and the name of their ship?[10]
  • Q: VM was tasked to bring three lodestones from the Elemental Plane of Water, preserving the life of its gueardian, a kraken. Will Keyleth manage to hold back her aggression toward the kraken because it possibly murdered her mother?[11]
    • A: When a member of the Ashari tribe starts their Aramente, they agree with the great risks it provides. Kraken is a part of the Aramente, was an unavoidable force that killed her mother, and is not in her revenge list.

GIF of the Week

  • Q: Why Percy doesn't trust magic and doesn't this attitude lead to a dissonance, taking into account his magic items?[12]
    • A: Most of the magic items Percy has are criticaly nesseseray. He doesn't want to relying on something he doesn't completely understand and cannot explain with his scientific mind. Although his firearms work with an inpredictable force, Percy at least knows how to fix them.
  • Q: Considering their recent dispute over who will be a more useful healer in "Onward to Vesrah" (1x87), are the twins still competitive?[13]
  • Q: Now that VM have seen Tary in a real fight, are the group became confident in him as a compitent adventurer?[14]
  • Q: Has Keyleth picked up on the fact that Tary might have a crush on her?[15]
    • A: Keyleth noticed and appreciates it.
  • Q: After the continuous prank war with Grog, what compelled Vax to end it and take care of him?[16]

Fan Art of the Week

  • Q: What is your favorite prompt, imporvised scene/reply from this campaign?[17]
    • A: Pike immediately reading the letter from Scanlan she promised not to read; bath scene in "What Lies Beneath the Surface" (1x81); "Boulder Parchment Shears" game.
  • Q: How did Taliesin and Matt decided if Percy has heard Vex during his resurrection ritual with still changing rules? Does Vex have a possitive influence on Percy?[18]
    • A:During "a convention", Taliesin rolled the dice to figure out if Percy heard Vex (not saying the outcome on Talks). Percy is held back from the most destructive bad decisions (e.g. shooting off Desmond Otham's hand for being indirectly connected with the Briarwoods; suggesting killing the ravenites for his pragmatic purposes) by Vex's "positive-negative" influence, directing him toward the less bad decisions.
  • Q: What made Vax think that Tary might be Hotis in disguise and use divine sense in "Onward to Vesrah" (1x87) searching for a demon present?[19]
  • Q: Coincidentally, all characters from VM has a strong relationship with their family/family arc. Why do you it is a common theme?[20] + Dani Carr first time mentioned on the talks.

Talks Machina After Dark[]

  • Q: Who would be the one who accidentaly kill the kraken?[22]
  • Story of Maxwell James trying to light up with a lighter an electronic candle for 30 minutes straight.
  • Q: What is the favorite/least favorite thing Taliesin done with his hair?[23]
  • For Kit Buss: Will we get an updated version of VM with the Vestigies?[24]
  • Q: Would Keyleth manage to take her Father's role and how Keyleth would look in the near future?[25]
  • Q: How much has beeing on Talks Machina affected your choices in game?[26]
