Talcydimir Pridesire, nicknamed Cyd, is the younger brother of Teor Pridesire.[1] He has not yet appeared on Critical Role.
Description[]
Talcydimir is a nama with jet black fur, a black mane and amber eyes.[3]
Biography[]
After the Falconer's Rebellion, Talcydimir spent most of his time in Dol-Makjar.[4] Talcydimir was part of the plans to thwart the execution of Thjazi Fang, whose role was to drive the escape wagon into place. Following the collapse of the plot, Cyd did not appear at Thjazi's funeral and no one had seen him.[5]
It was later revealed that Cyd, after discovering that Casimir Gavendale had betrayed Thjazi and the plan for a reward, stole his deed of title to a stronghouse in Gormalay and ran away, being chased by Casimir and his allies northward.[6] Talcydimir chose to travel across the Dahapshanee Wood to avoid the main roads,[7] being more of a woodsman than a city person.[8] He ended up in Hawthorn's Glade, where the local fey let him stay for a bit; while he was there he spoke with Jauf, a bowka associate of Thjazi, and let him know about the orc's likely fate.[9] He also spoke about his intention of telling a baron in Gormalay about how they shouldn't reward Casimir for his treachery,[10] and about how he would want to eventually travel east to find Teor, believing he was still a mercenary there.[11]
Talcydimir was told to continue his journey following a path that would lead him (without the nama knowing) to the dangerous Wraith Tree. However, when his brother and his group arrived there, they didn't find any signs of Cyd, and he wasn't among the undead present in the area.[12] Those adventurers learned later, after arriving to Timmony, that Cyd had successfully left the forest, but was captured in a chapel of Vallow;[13] the deed of title he had stolen was taken from him again, so that House Tachonis could return it to Casimir in Sloak, his new barony.[14] Those same nobles, however, refused to bring Talcydimir to the new Baron Gavendale, even though he wanted to kill the nama for stealing from him.[15] It was later revealed that after Cyd was taken, the Tachonis caravan split into two parts, with the part carrying Cyd heading northward toward Tybry's Lea.[16]
Relationships[]
Teor Pridesire[]
Teor is his older brother.[1] They had spent years without seeing each other, and Teor didn't consider Cyd a reliable person.[17]
