The stoneguards of the Earth Ashari are warriors and watchmen that protect Terrah and its people.
Description[]
Stoneguards embody the Earth Ashari ideals of stoicism, endurance, and defensive approach to conflicts, with their magical and martial training focused on being able to resist many enemies and manipulate the rock of their environment to their benefit, even creating their own weapons and armor.[1]
History[]
According to legends, in the ancient times when the elemental armies attacked the world of Exandria, two stoneguards were able to defend their town and their people for ten days and ten nights, taking turns so that there was always one of them on guard while the other was resting.
In more recent recorded history, by 812 PD Terrah did not have the best relations with the dwarves of Kraghammer, suspicious of their mining activity. In 836 PD the situation had not improved, and the stoneguards, on perpetual guard at key points around Terrah, were convinced that, if they were not there, the dwarves would invade their lands to obtain resources.[1]

Known stoneguards[]
Although none of these characters have been explicitly called stoneguards, their functions and abilities could mark them as such:
Trivia[]
- The stoneguards' suspicion of the dwarves also manifests itself in competitiveness in stonecraft, given that both sides have an important cultural tradition working with rock.
- Assuming the stories about the two legendary stoneguards have some truth in them, there might have been stoneguards (or ancient equivalents of them) during the time when the Gau Drashari still existed.
