Blast Gaffer Sleese Firemark is a gnomish black powder manufacturer from Hupperdook.

Sleese is a workaholic gnome, and is described as hotheaded and unhappy to be interrupted at his work.[1]

In 835 PD during the War of Ash and Light, a group of adventurers came to the Firemark Facility while searching for an escaped prisoner, Sken Zabriss. The party asked about any missing blasting powder, as Sken had used a bomb delivered to her to escape from Gearhole Prison. Sleese denied this, and after checking his ledgers, confirmed that no blast powder had been stolen.[1]
Sleese also mentioned to the party that Nima Cinnarid, his most talented worker at the facility, had been ill for the past three weeks and had refused to leave her home or allow anyone inside. This clue lead the party to investigate her house, which revealed that a number of kobolds had kidnapped Nima and taken her to a cave behind the top of Silver Falls. This lead the party to the lair of Huron Stahlmast, the mastermind behind Sken's escape.[1]
