The Slayer's Cake is a bakery in downtown Whitestone that is owned and originally operated by Taryon Darrington, Keyleth, Vex'ahlia, and Pike Trickfoot,[1] although now the latter is the most involved. The bakery's logo is a cupcake with Pike's mace on top.
History[]
At the time of opening, reviews seem to be mixed, such as when Wilhand Trickfoot sampled one of Tary's blondies and his verdict was: "...You're a very good cleric."[2] When Tary announced his intention to return to Wildemount, he gave up his share of the bakery. He cited his reasoning was being "really bad at baking".[3] The Slayer's Cake was also one of the entrants in Westruun's Hazel Festival honey competition.[4]
By 836 PD, the Slayer's Cake had become one of the most popular bakeries in Tal'Dorei, and had opened a satellite shop in Emon. Bread is also baked weekly and sent to Nicodranas via Teleportation Circle, and the owners are considering expanding there.[5]
In 843 PD the Slayer's Cake was still an active business, and they seemed to give priority to the orders that came from Whitestone Castle.[6]

Trivia[]
- The musical Waitress inspired Laura and Ashley in the creation of the Slayer's Cake.[8]
- Tary came up with the bakery's name, a reference to Vox Machina's membership in the Slayer's Take guild in Vasselheim, even though Tary himself is not a member.
- Per Sam Riegel, Tary heard a tale about the Slayer's Take and Vox Machina's past missions. He wouldn't be a member as he thinks it's way too dangerous for him.[9]
- For the 100th episode of Critical Role ("Unfinished Business" (1x100)), a special "TV ad" for the Slayer's Cake was made, starring Sam as Tary, Laura as Vex, Ashley as Pike, and Marisha as Keyleth doing bumper V-O. It was also announced that the Geek & Sundry store now sells aprons featuring the Slayer's Cake logo, designed by Laura herself.
- Some other baked goods and pastries were suggested by the Project Alpha crew, such as:
- Grog's Cravin' Bacon Edge (a maple bacon doughnut)
- Kiki Lime Pie
- Scanlan's Strawberry Shorthaltcake
- In Exquisite Exandria: The Official Cookbook of Critical Role, several recipes come from the files of the Slayer's Cake, including:
- Everlight-as-Air Scones
- Slayer's Cake Sun Treats
- Trinket's Bear Claws
