The Septarion was a group of the seven highest archmages of the flying city of Avalir[3] who ruled it during the the late Age of Arcanum.[4]
History[]
The headquarters of the Septarion was called the Archsept. In the grand central dome at its base, where outside the great staircase led up to the Halls of the Septarion, was a 100-foot tall statue of Imyr the Bold, First of the Septarion.[5]
Purvan Suul had come to Avalir to speak to the Septarion about divine matters, but was laughed away.[6]
After the Tree of Names was destroyed and the city was under attack by Asmodeus's forces, Eldamir the Wise of the Septarion sent his apprentice Loras to the Herald's Tome in order to have the populace told to divert their spell energy into the Etheric Net to preserve the city, and to requisition all of the city's available skyships in order to transport the effects of the Septarion from the city at once for safe keeping.[7]
