A Sentinel Shield is a shield with an eye engraved upon it, which grants the bearer particular awareness of their surroundings.[5]
Description[]
While holding the shield, the wielder gains advantage on initiative rolls and Perception checks.[6][1]
For passive perception checks, the shield adds +5 to the calculation.[7]
History[]
A sentinel shield and a frost brand longsword were left behind in Cael Morrow in a secret armory in the ruins of an ancient guard tower that was dedicated to Corellon, god of arcane magic.[8]
Orym was interested in purchasing a sentinel shield from Gilmore's Glorious Goods shortly before the Crown Keepers left Emon.[9] However, after some discussion he arranged to have his existing shield enchanted with the same properties instead.[10] He was still in possession of it upon arriving in Jrusar.[11]
