Rux Tallheart was a kobold paladin of the Platinum Dragon who defended Vasselheim during the Calamity. As an NPC, Rux Tallheart is played by Brennan Lee Mulligan.
Description[]
Rux was a kobold of short stature who used armor and wielded a spear that looked like a lance in his hands.[1] He was confident and formal, and had a positive attitude.[2]

Background[]
At some point during the second half of the Calamity, Rux became a paladin of the Platinum Dragon, and proved his worth by defending Vasselheim from its enemies. Even though his god had been silent for a long time and some of his fellow worshipers felt their divine magic fail, the kobold's own faith didn't waver.[3]
"By Heart Alone" (E4x04)[]
Two weeks before the Divergence Rux attended a meeting in the Runekeep with representatives of the churches of the All-Hammer, the Knowing Mentor, and the Moonweaver (all gods whose communication with their followers had been cut off). There, Far-Seer Volsting was being healed by Rei'nia Saph, a cleric of Sehanine whose powers worked even though her goddess was no longer on Exandria; she, after explaining that the gods would leave the world to protect mortals, offered her help to the people of Vasselheim, to teach them how to use a new form of divine magic. Rux declared that he wasn't worried about the communication of the gods, since he would keep doing his job, and added that the final battle was going to be in Ghor Dranas.
The paladin was chosen to guide Nia and her group and provide warm clothing and food to them. While they walked, he praised Crokas for his warrior-like appearance, and Erro told Rux that he was very imposing himself; he accepted the compliment, and when Erro mentioned that Fiedra Marrow was also fierce despite her size, the kobold started paying attention to her. He asked the halfling about her religion, and she was evasive at first, declaring that she believed in her friends and wasn't actively following a god at the moment. When Rux assumed she followed the Changebringer, she told him he was right.
