Ronin Willingham is the son of Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham. He has been seen in several Critical Role productions and provided the voice of the boy who talks to Grog (played by his real life father) in "Prisoners of Ank'Harel" (LVM3x02).
Background[]
Ronin was born unexpectedly a few weeks early on 28 June 2018, and his birth was announced on Critical Role that evening when his parents, playing Jester Lavorre and Fjord of the Mighty Nein, were absent from the live stream for "Found & Lost" (2x26). Subsequently he made several appearances in Critical Role productions, including in "The Stalking Nightmare" (2x29) where the live show audience sang him a happy birthday via video link, and in "Family Gathering" (2x71) where he questioned Liam O'Brien and Sam Riegel, the candidates running for president of D&D Beyond.

Trivia[]
- Ronin enjoys playing "Rollies" and has developed his own dice rolling style.[2]
- Matthew Mercer asked Ronin to choose the monster that Bells Hells should fight next, and he selected the chimera the party faced in "Compulsions" (3x40).[3]
- According to Laura, Ronin has created his own Dungeons & Dragons characters and went as far in the process as describing them, drawing them, and knowing their classes. One of his character is a dragonborn named Vagent.[4]
- Behind the scenes of "Oaths & Ash – Indianapolis Live Show 2025" (Sx100), the Critical Role staff had prepared different options of horns, and Sam Riegel, thinking they were all for Braius Doomseed, allowed Ronin to play with a golden pair he hadn't taken. However, it was later revealed that the remaining horns were supposed to be used by Jeremy and Chris (who were playing as two devils fighting Bells Hells, so Ronin had to give away the horns that were meant to be for Perkins.[5] According to Laura, that wasn't the first time it happened, since before "The Mighty Nein Reunion: Echoes of the Solstice" (Sx79) she saw her son playing with another pair of horns and asked him to be able to use them to play Jester, and then she never returned them to him.[6]
- Ronin helped his father write Fjord's vows for the wedding in "Jester and Fjord's Wedding - Live from Radio City Music Hall" (Sx103), telling him to add how Jester drew dicks everywhere.[7]
- The members of the cast have spoken about how Jester and Fjord's color as a couple should be teal or aquamarine because of their skin tone. According to Laura, when they asked Ronin what color he would be, given that blue and green were the colors of his parents' characters, he answered "yellow".[8]
- Following in-universe logic, if Ronin's character was the child of Jester and Fjord he could be yellow, since Exandrian tieflings can have children with skin colors completely different from their own.[9]
