Reiloran Juggernauts are a subtype of reilora, the crimson entities which inhabit the red moon Ruidus. They are the tallest and most massive of the reilora.

Description[]

The juggernaut encountered by Bells Hells within Athos Peak was much larger than the reilora they had previously seen. It was muscular and close to eight feet tall, wearing hide armor with bits of metal and bone. It had large bone protrusions from its back and wore belts and what appeared to be a leather battle apron. It wielded a bone splinter cestus on each hand, consisting of iron bands wrapped around its knuckles as a large gauntlet or bracer with protruding jagged dark brown bones.[3]

Abilities[]

Juggernauts have displayed the following abilities:

  • AC: 18 or lower[4]
  • Hit Points: about 160-200
  • Wisdom: 14-15[5]
  • Charisma: less than 18[6]
  • Telekinetic Shove: As a bonus action, if a creature fails a Strength save (DC 20 or less), it is pushed or pulled 5 feet.[7] (presumably the same as provided by the Telekinetic feat)
  • Multiattack: The juggernaut makes three attacks with its bladed fists, doing about 9-17 damage with each strike[8]
  • Regeneration: At the top of its turn, the juggernaut regenerated 10 hit points.[9]

History[]

Origin[]

The Weave Mind of the Kreviris Imperium "created" the juggernauts from the original reilora, prioritizing their physical strength for generations at the expense of their psychic abilities, to the point where some[10] modern juggernauts have no telepathic abilities.[11]

"An Ancient Flame" (3x75)[]

While Bells Hells were exploring the cavern on Igthuldus, five figures suddenly appeared in a flash of light, including two Ruby Vanguard, two Reilora including a juggernaut, and what appeared to be Ludinus Da'leth. The juggernaut used Telekinetic Shove on Orym to pull him into melee, but was hit by a Blight from Laudna. Orym attacked the juggernaut, using pushing attacks to shove it into the lava, then leaping onto it and hitting four more times, killing it and backflipping back to solid ground.

"Arrival at Kreviris" (3x87)[]

While the party was in Kreviris, they encountered a juggernaut as part of a Imperium reiloran party escorting a box in a wagon. When the reilorans became suspicious of Fearne, a battle ensued in which the juggernaut was first Banished by FCG and then killed by Orym when it returned.

"Divisive Portents" (3x89)[]

Bells Hells met Gaz Tomo, a non-telepathic reiloran hulk with a soft spot for the sentient mushroom-like myceit. Gaz served as the right hand of Rashinna, current leader of the Volition resistance to the Imperium.

"Assault on the Malleus Key" (3x113)[]

On Exandria, there were juggernauts present around the Malleus Key to defend it when the army of the Exandrian Accord attacked.

"To the Arx Creonum" (3x115)[]

There were juggernauts defending the Arx Creonum when the Volition attacked it.

"Race to the Ruidian Core" (3x117)[]

Juggernauts and Thought Eaters guarded the access to the tunnel that led to the Hallowed Cage. A juggernaut approached the magically disguised Bells Hells, who told him they had captured a fleeing Exaltant, the daughter of the Sorrowlord. When Braius Doomseed kicked the "prisoner" to add flavor to their story, one of the juggernauts intervened and told him that such behavior wasn't necessary. The guards wanted to take the prisoner to Ludinus themselves, but when they heard the detonation caused by the Volition, they focused on that and the disguised adventurers were able to enter the tunnel.

Trivia[]

  • Juggernauts are also referred to by other reilora as "hulks",[12] and they are called that in their concept art.
