The Ravenites are a group of tailless dragonborn that were slaves to the Draconians.[1] They were freed from their original enslavement after the destruction of Draconia by Vorugal, only to find themselves serving the ancient white dragon instead. The Ravenites eventually helped Vox Machina kill Vorugal.
Leadership
The leader of the Ravenites is Tooma, an elderly female dragonborn.
Encounters with Vox Machina
Vox Machina first met the Ravenites in "The Frigid Doom" (1x64) in the ruins of Draconia. They tried to disguise themselves as dragonborn, as they didn't know whether the Ravenites worked for Vorugal or not, but the plan failed because they had Scanlan disguise them as dragonborn with tails. This caused the Ravenites to become hostile, as they mistook them for the Draconians who had enslaved them. Upon realizing their mistake, Vox Machina decided to drop the disguise. After some convincing, Skork took them to the Ravenite chieftain, Tooma. Vox Machina learned that after the fall of Draconia, the Ravenites had been serving the white dragon. The two groups agreed to help each other kill Vorugal.
Vox Machina kept their promise, after a trip to Ank'Harel, and killed the white dragon. The Ravenites initiated the ruse that led Vorugal to Vox Machina's ambush location. They arrived too late to take part in the battle, stating that they lacked the means of quickly transporting themselves from the staging area to the ambush site.[2]. Vox Machina allowed the Ravenites to harvest parts of Vorugal's corpse,[3] and the Ravenites allowed Vox Machina to keep some of the dragon's hoard,[4] which consisted largely of Draconian and Ravenite plunder.

A number of Ravenites sought refuge in the Dwendalian Empire after Draconia was brought crashing down. The Empire had given them a place to stay and be processed in what is now the tent city of Talonstadt.[5]
