The Quick Coil Wand is an arcane focus owned by Heera Agneheart.
Description[]
This wand is thin and made of gold.[2]
When used by a spellcaster it increases their spell DC and spell modifier by 1, and can be used as an arcane focus. Moreover, once between long rests the wand can be used to Quicken a spell with a casting time of one action, allowing it to be cast as a bonus action instead.[3]
History[]
In 839 PD the artificer Xella Blacktongue gave this wand to Heera Agneheart as part of a promised reward, after she and the Re-Slayer's Take helped him rescue his bodyguard Sasha from a marionette-controlled magma landshark.[4] The next morning Heera asked Frog to Identify the item, revealing its properties.[5] Heera used it for the first time in a battle against Ügel the undead troll, Quickening her Darkness to hide strange necrotic energies in the ceiling so that they couldn't detect and weaken radiant magic in the battlefield.[6]
