Mythtaker Qi Mandozi is an orcish sorcerer from Aeshanadoor. As an NPC, Qi is played by Matthew Mercer.
Description[]
Appearance[]
Qi is a handsome and thin orcish man of green skin, black hair that has turned gray on the sides, a chiseled chin with a two-pointed black beard, and rings in his tusks and on his fingers. He wore a long intricately-patterned red and purple robe.[1]
Personality[]
Qi is a kind and lively man who, although he takes difficult situations seriously, has a sense of humor and appreciates fun events in his surroundings.[2] According to himself, he rarely holds grudges.[3]
Biography[]
Background[]
Qi Mandozi was from Aeshanadoor.[4] At some point in his life he manifested sorcerous magic, and eventually received a title, "Mythtaker". After the apogee solstice of 843 PD, his nation became part of an alliance against the Ruby Vanguard,[5] and he was sent to the Tishtan excavation site in order to collaborate with other warriors and mages from different nations in the Exandrian Accord.
"The Eve of the Red Moon" (3x81)[]
When Allura Vysoren brought Bells Hells to the headquarters of the alliance, Qi was friendly with them, expressing his desire to work with them to make the mission a success; although he showed some concern when it was revealed that Imogen Temult and Fearne Calloway were Ruidusborn, he calmed down when Earthbreaker Groon gave them his approval, and he regained his positive attitude after listening to FCG's jokes.
After some preparation, he and Allura combined their magic with Percival de Rolo's inventions, creating the illusions of rhinoceros and ember rocs effectively attacking and showing signs of damage when fighting the forces defending the Malleus Key.
"Where The Red Fearne Glows" (3x94)[]
Days later Qi was still in the encampment, and he was among the members of a meeting that received Bells Hells when they returned from their scouting mission. When the adventurers shared the knowledge they had gained and showed some of the stuff they had brought back from Ruidus, the Mythtaker was really interested in a piece of Aeorian technology. He took a lot of notes, and when Dorian Storm joked about his title, "Mythtaker", the orc forgave him easily, keeping his good mood.
"The Cradle's Convocation" (3x104)[]
After the Exandrian Accord lost control of the Hellcatch Valley following the attacks of the Ruby Vanguard, Qi was among the survivors who attended a meeting in the Platinum Sanctuary of Vasselheim.
