The Platinum House is a "new age" styled shrine to the Platinum Dragon, located in Interstead Sprawl, Zadash.[1] Deeply empowering speeches are given during sermons that are led by the Herald of the House at noon.[2]
Building Description[]
A beautiful white building with blue tapestries on its outside and a couple entrances, it has a reflective mirrored sphere atop the roof which during the day causes the building to give off a beacon-like glow.[3] At night, it emits a faint white glow like a beacon in the middle of the darkened city.[4] The building is used for worship and meditation. Sermons are usually given around noon.[5]
Interior[]
It has open archways, floor spaces and some hallways available for worship and meditation. There are areas for reading, napping, and sleeping.[6] There are bowls scattered throughout the rooms, where knick-knacks can be thrown in.[7]
There is a big statue of the Platinum Dragon that hovers about 15 feet off the ground by two sets of chains in the central domed archway right beneath the glowing dome at the top. The statue is made of polished silver that is made to look like pure platinum. It has its wings outstretched and is looking down over the chambers, where the folks gather for the sermon and/or sit there to meditate and pray and worship.[8]
At the end of a hall are two chambers: the bedchambers of Kumas, and a 15 by 10-foot storage chamber holding candles, statues and things that are used in various ceremonies. There are several wooden hanging rods holding vestments that are used for more formal events and celebrations and holidays.[9]
Notable People[]
The caretakers of the temple, low-level priests of the Platinum Dragon, wear tabards that are mostly a silver-white color with the symbol of Bahamut, blue with a silver dragon. They're simply dressed.[10]
- Marlow: Overseer of the House[11]
- Kumas: Herald of the House[12]
- Braius Doomseed and his family (formerly)
History[]

Fan art of Jester and Nott at the temple of the Platinum Dragon, by Oleksii Chernik.[art 1]
Fairly early in the Mighty Nein's adventures, they visited Zadash and Jester scouted out the various temples, memorizing the schedules of the guards and priests, and planning to desecrate one of them. She decided on the Platinum House, since it was close to the bathhouse, and enlisted Nott's help to do so. Disguised as the Herald of House Kumas and an elderly gnomish woman, Jester and Nott successfully told the patrons and caretakers to clear the chambers and Jester climbed the statue of The Platinum Dragon, where she painted the statue with rainbow colors to get a Technicolor vomit nightmare. When she began adding a mustache, a group of people approached and she fled with the help of Duplicity, instigating a wild chase with five Crownsguard and two members of the church. While Jester hid in a storage room, Nott was captured in Otiluke's Resilient Sphere. When the crownsguard tried to arrest Nott, she escaped, and Jester escaped the storage room. They both managed to blend in with the crowd in the streets before the Crownsguard could catch up with them.[13]
Later, the temple searched for the culprits among the followers themselves. The head of security at the temple, Braius Doomseed, was blamed for not preventing the desecration, being punished and excommunicated, and his family rejected by the religious community to which they belonged (which caused them to also turn their backs on Braius).[14]
Trivia[]
- In "4-Sided Dive: The Tower" (4SDx29), Laura Bailey reminded Sam Riegel that both Jester Lavorre and Nott the Brave were in disguise when they desecrate the Platinum House. Something that Sam forgot while playing as Braius Doomseed when he told the story of a blue tiefling and a goblin have ruined his life. Thus, it's technically not possible that Braius remembers Jester in her true form.[15]
- Sam suggested that Braius followed Jester and Nott afterwards when they took off the disguise, so that's how he knew how they truly looked like. Also, Jester left pamphlets so she was easily trackable. [16]
