Petrov Godo is an Exaltant and a member of the Ruby Vanguard. As an NPC, he is played by Matthew Mercer.
Description[]
Appearance[]
Petrov is a young-looking human with shaggy brown hair, dark blue eyes and a very faint moustache.[1]
Personality[]
Petrov seems to be a good-natured but easy to influence young man, who sees the good in new places and creatures but is also easily overwhelmed by dangerous situations.
Biography[]
Background[]
Petrov was born around 827 PD during a flare of the Moon of Ill Omen. When he grew up he started having strange dreams, feeling a pull, and eventually discovering he had to go to Marquet. He managed to save enough money, traveling to Ank'Harel and joining the Ruby Vanguard in 843 PD, and was sent to the Red Center and eventually to Ruidus, where he spent a few days traveling with a caravan of supplies.[2]
At some point Petrov experienced two intense events that led to manifestations of his power as an Exaltant, and he was supposed to travel to Kreviris so that the Weave Mind would help him reach his full potential.[3]
"Red Rural Revelations" (3x84)[]
In Razora, Petrov and other Vanguard members accompanied Willmaster Edmuda and her reilorans to the house of Elder Barthie, where they found Bells Hells. A battle ensued, during which Laudna cast Fireball against the Willmaster's forces; this explosion acted as a third triggering event for Petrov, who started floating in the air, full of Exaltant power. He cast Telekinesis to hold the warlock that had just attacked them, and although she tried to protect herself with Mirror Image, the young Ruidusborn hit her with Blight. This didn't last for long, since Orym Hexed Petrov shortly after and knocked him unconscious.
"Intense Interrogations" (3x85)[]
Petrov, Edmuda and Verdo were captured by the adventurers and kept in their portable hole. Although the Willmaster tried to attack their captors as soon as she regained consciousness, she was rapidly neutralized, and when Petrov himself woke up he started sobbing because of the stress. He was interrogated by Imogen Temult, who showed him compassion and told him that they had been looking for Edmuda, who was a traitor. Reassured and believing that the adventurers were also members of the Vanguard, Petrov shared with them the information he had, and spoke in defense of Verdo.
Eventually, after Fearne healed some of Petrov's wounds and Barthie helped clean them, he and Verdo were sent back to the caravan escorted by the druid and FCG, since it was Bells Hells' intention to join them there. The two recruits were welcomed by Otohan Thull herself.
