Nott's mask was a porcelain mask scavenged from an unknown doll;[1] said doll was initially found by her during her previous life as Veth Brenatto, and she gave it to her son as a gift. However, after their family was kidnapped by goblins and she was transformed into one, she couldn't return to her family and was chased out of Felderwin; in the forest, she found the doll, maybe lost or discarded by her husband.[2] Since Nott despised her appearance and resented being a goblin she hid those features, bundling her hands and ears with bandages and wearing part of the doll's porcelain head as a mask, which also helped avoid looks of suspicion in crowded areas. However, with time, Nott got more confident with her appearance and gave the mask to her son Luc Brenatto.[3]
Appearance[]
The mask covers Nott's face below the nose. It has a smiling pale-white face with red-painted lips drawn onto it.[4]
Trivia[]
- It belonged to a doll with a big head, with short blond hair and gray eyes, and wearing a pink dress.[5]
- In the "Curious Beginnings" (2x01), Travis made a parallel between Nott's mask and the face of the Annabelle doll from the movie of the same name.[6]
