This page is about the organization. For the individual, see The Nameless. For the first episode of Exandria Unlimited Prime, see The Nameless Ones.

We are the ones that are left, but we know better than to use names.

The Nameless Ones are a criminal organization based in Emon.

Symbol[]

The symbol used by the Nameless Ones evokes imagery of both the Clasp and the Myriad. It features a five-pointed star, like the Myriad's symbol, which is being "clasped" by a hand.[5] Targets for the group are marked by that symbol.[6]

History[]

In 840 PD, rival crime syndicates the Myriad and the Clasp came to blows in a turf war in Emon. The public at large is unaware of which of the organizations won, if either. The criminals who remained and banded together no longer use names for their organization.[7] The members appeared to be of all ages, from children to old men and women.[8] Arthur, one of the members, referred to it as the "thieves' guild".[9]

Between 842 and 843 PD the leader of the Nameless Ones, Poska, after dealing poorly with a new group of adventurers, decided to take increasingly violent measures to control Emon, despite her initial desire not to act as the Myriad or the Clasp. Still obsessed with catching those adventurers, she kept them as wanted subjects in the city.

Eventually the Nameless Ones moved 1400 of their members (including Poska) to Kymal, managing to double their numbers in a very short time by preventing people from leaving the city and forcing them to join them. Jinoir, a local tiefling boy who used to supply them with stolen valuables,[10] ended up joining them the same way, but since he had befriended Fy'ra Rai, a member of the Crown Keepers, he informed them about the activities of the criminal organization. The adventurers had some encounters with Nameless Ones, managing to defeat three of their assassins and one of their lieutenants (stealing from him several documents). As the Crown Keepers were leaving Kymal on a floating glass skydeck, escaping the Nameless Ones, Opal cast Major Image to make the criminals believe that the skydeck had collapsed, and that the adventurers, as well as Poska (in some sort of epic sacrifice), had perished in the fall. However, there was at least one of the lieutenants, Fy'ra Kai, who wasn't deceived by the illusion.

During the apogee solstice the Nameless Ones were still chasing the Crown Keepers, and according to Deni$e Bembachula, there were flyers with the faces of the adventurers everywhere.[11]
