A naga is an intelligent serpentine creature.
History[]
A mutated, five-headed version of a naga was created by K'Varn and was the first boss Vox Machina fought on-stream in Critical Role.[1]
In the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting sourcebook, set in 812 PD, the adventure hook Legions of the Reptile God involves the spirit naga Maledicta Hexos leading an army in the name of Zehir, and overrunning Vues'dal and with hopes of attacking Syngorn. The army includes countless lizardfolk, several hydras, and a night hag. Maledicta had one of the Astural Scrolls looted from Wrettis.[2]
In the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount sourcebook, set in 836 PD, the adventure hook The Crawling Caverns centers on a group of spirit nagas who guard what the Betrayer Gods left behind in the Bastille of Torment beneath the Dunrock Mountains.[3]
In the Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn, also set in 836 PD, the adventure hook A Sickness Spreads centers on a disease that is spreading from the Mirescar. There, a once good-natured guardian naga called Sagacitous Erusaire has been twisted (along with his grick minions) by the dark influence of the place, and now they are spreading the sickness.[4]
