Metapigeon LLC is a California limited liability company established by Critical Role Productions LLC to act as its production company and production banner. Travis Willingham serves as Chief Executive Officer.[1]

The Legend of Vox Machina[]

The Legend of Vox Machina is an animated series funded by a kickstarter campaign of the same name. In November 2019, Amazon Prime partnered on the project and expanded it to two seasons totaling 24 episodes, completing the Briarwood storyline and moving "into other classic Vox Machina story arcs as well."[2] The show premiered January 28, 2022[3] to general critical approval[4] and was greenlighted for a third season months before the second season aired. The Legend of Vox Machina, Season Three will air October 3rd 2024 on Prime Video.[5]
On October 23, 2024, a fourth season of The Legend of Vox Machina was announced.[6]
Mighty Nein (animated)[]
On January 25, 2023, Amazon Studios and Critical Role announced a forthcoming animated series based on Campaign Two: The Mighty Nein, to be produced in partnership with Titmouse, Inc. The series was to be executive produced by Tasha Huo, Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham as well as Metapigeon LLC and Amazon Studios. Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina, all from Titmouse, will also executive produce. No premiere date had been set but the series was expected to begin production "shortly".[7][8]
As of June 2024, the cast is in the process of recording for the Mighty Nein show and more updates will come.[9]In July 2024 a sneak peak featuring Fjord and Jester Lavorre meeting for the very first time has been shared online and during the "San Diego Comic-Con 2024 - Critical Role Fireside Chat & Cast Q&A" (Sx87).[10] In an interview to promote The Legend of Vox Machina, Season Three on September 2024, Travis Willingham said they expect the show to be ready for late 2025.[11] In an interview for Polygon published on October 27, 2024, Travis said they have written all of season one. They're getting animation tests back in color, considering spells and magical effects, and talking about the music.[12]
Midst[]

On March 29, 2023, Critical Role announced that they had acquired the "semi-improvised sci-fantasy" podcast Midst.[13] The show originally consisted of approximately forty 20- to 40-minute podcasts spread over two seasons, which had been released beginning January 28, 2020 through April 29, 2022.[14]. The episodes were remastered with updated sound and music and re-released beginning April 11, 2023, with additional "lightly-animated video editions" on various podcast apps, the Critical Role YouTube Channel, and the Midst website. A third season is in production.[15]
The Re-Slayer's Take[]

The Re-Slayer’s Take is a weekly family-friendly actual play podcast releasing on Mondays beginning 20 May 2024, produced by Critical Role. "After six misfit mercenaries are rejected from the elite monster hunting group, The Slayer's Take, they band together as The Re-Slayer's Take, battling supernatural creatures across the rugged continent of Issylra."[16]
