Luis Carazo is an actor appearing in Exandria Unlimited: Calamity and The Legend of Vox Machina, Season Three as Zerxus Ilerez, and in the second chapter of Candela Obscura as Marion Collodi.

Background[]

Luis Carazo was born in Cartagena, Colombia, and emigrated to the United States with his Mexican-Colombian family when he was three years old.[2] He grew up in Riverside, California.[3] Luis is the third of four brothers.[4]

Luis first got acquainted with Dungeons & Dragons when he was around five[5] but played his first "powerful" game of D&D at sixteen.[6] He also played in a home game with Marisha Ray (her first game of Dungeons & Dragons), Taliesin Jaffe, and Matthew Mercer, as their Dungeon Master.[7][8]

Other works[]

Luis has appeared in multiple roles on television, film, and commercials.[1] In the tabletop community, he is perhaps best known as "Nines Rodriguez" in LA by Night. Luis began playing in streamed tabletop roleplaying games through Taliesin, who recommended Luis to L.A. by Night.[9] He also played alongside Michelle Nguyen Bradley in Outbreak Undead: United States of the Dead (previously Outbreak Undead: Rag & Bone) with Zac Eubank's Hyper RPG.[10]

Critical Role Productions[]

About his role in Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, Luis said, "I knew that I wanted to explore an Oath of Redemption paladin in this setting with a potential confrontation with a Betrayer. I wasn't even sure that we would encounter them. I didn't know where we were in the timeline. But I hoped and I asked for it. I was like, 'I'd like to hopefully have an encounter with a Betrayer.'"[11]
