Loza Blade is an aged orc mercenary warrior. As an NPC, she is played by Brennan Lee Mulligan.
Description[]
Loza is broad-shouldered, tall, and powerful, with a square jaw and beautiful tusks with filigreed runic golden rings set into the middle of her tusks. Her hair is worn up in a messy gray and white bun on top of her head. She bears an enormous battle axe across her back. "She is of such an advanced age that the muscles remaining on her body are clinging to pure spite at this point."[5]
Biography[]
Background[]
Loza fought alongside Thjazi Fang for the Torn Banner during the Falconer's Rebellion.[6] At the beginning of Campaign Four, Loza and Teor Pridesire arrived together at the home of Halandil Fang for the wake of Thjazi Fang following his execution. They had come from mercenary work in the old fallen Obridimian Empire far to the east.[7]
Campaign Four: Overture[]
Halandil Fang immediately recognized Loza when she arrived at the funeral, and embraced her. Loza approached Thjazi's body with a traditional whispered orcish custom under the Old Path, before greeting Thaisha Lloy, saying it had been a long time. Later, she told Wicander Halovar that she was retiring, and recommended his family hire Teor as part of their security team.[8] She had planed to retire to Dol-Rungja where the Lloy family lives and where her own family has lands.[9]
As the funeral was drawing to a close, Halandil and his daughter Hero played a song from the Falconer's Rebellion ("Broken Wing") on their lyres, and Loza was very emotionally affected, saying at its end, "I can still hear the falcon's cry."[10] As a passing of the torch, she gave Teor a small scroll case containing the Torn Banner.[11]
