Biography[]
At some point in her life Kiro started following the faith of Pelor the Dawnfather. She received training, and eventually demonstrated enough devotion and military skill to be named a Flameguide.[2] In that position, the woman was chosen to lead the missionary operation at Sunrise Sanctuary, a temple of Pelor in Hearthdell, a village in the Demithore Valley known for their lifestyle "pagan".
Months before the apogee solstice of 843 PD Vasselheim began to press its influence on the people of Hearthdell through Kiro and her bastions, managing to convert some villagers, and making others deeply uncomfortable, as they felt that they could no longer act freely.[3] While she was in charge tithes were taken from the villagers, and she and her superiors were talking with the Silvercall family to acquire more lands in the area to potentially build more temples.[4] Kiro let the village know that the solstice was approaching, and the townsfolk organized a small celebration that day, during which, due to a magical effect, eleven people were teleported to other places in Exandria.[5]
When Bells Hells arrived in Hearthdell they joined Elder Abaddina's plan to to drive the Dawnfather's followers out of the village, or forcefully reduce them if necessary. Orym and Bor'Dor approached the temple and talked to some guards, trying to gain their trust, telling them of Ludinus Da'leth's plans and convincing them that they would do better to send their forces to Marquet instead of staying in the village. The bastions called the Flameguide, who was very upset by the interruption and threatened to banish them from Hearthdell, but agreed to listen. Orym's speech caught Kiro's interest, although it also made her suspicious about what relationship the halfling had with Ludinus and why he was on Issylra instead of fighting on Marquet; she stated she was willing to share that information with her allies in Vasselheim, but ignored the fighter's urgency about the situation, ordering the two adventurers to be brought inside, intending to continue questioning them. However, Orym gave the alert to his hidden allies, knocked down one of the bastions and pointed his sword at Kiro, insisting that they resolve this matter as soon as possible.[6]
Faced with this situation, the Flameguide managed to stop Orym and Ashton by casting Hold Person, after which she and her forces retreated into the temple. There the intensity of the combat was growing, and Kiro tried to protect the entrance with a Guardian of Faith, who killed some villagers, although despite this the follower of the Dawnfather was wounded; she managed to survive Elder Abaddina's Blight, going so far as to rebuke her and the townsfolk for their ingratitude at the gifts of the temple. Eventually, Bor'Dor killed Flameguide Kiro by stabbing her in the neck, and she died whispering one last prayer that would summon a Dawnborn Angel; her own blood would be used by Prism to summon a barlgura to fight the angel.[7]

- Several players seemed convinced that Flameguide Kiro was a paladin, and more specifically a follower of the Oath of Conquest.[11]
