Kir is the five-year-old son of Cerrit Agrupnin. As an NPC in Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, Kir is played by Brennan Lee Mulligan.
Description[]
Like his father, Kir is an eisfuura. Although his age is given as 5 years old at the time of the events of Exandria Unlimited: Calamity,[3] his speech and actions are more like those of a pre-teen, perhaps because of a shorter lifespan and consequent earlier maturation of the eisfuura race.[4]
Kir admires his father and strives to be like him. Since he perceives his father to be a detective or spy, he seeks to emulate that, using code names for family members in talking to his father that change depending on what he thinks is cooler that week.[5] His mother is a brilliant scientist.[6]
Biography[]
On the eve of the Replenishment, Kir and his sister Maya had been left alone by their parents, their mother being away due to professional requirements and his father Cerrit having duties connected to the impending landing of Avalir. Kir contacted Cerrit via sending stone to report that his sister Maya was sneaking out of the house to a Replenishment party being held at the Sorcerer's University.[7]
Later that evening, after he had become aware of the grave danger the city was in, Cerrit contacted Kir again via Sending Stone. Kir had trailed his sister to the party and was observing her, and his father told him to bring her back to their home, where Cerrit planned to join them. Cerrit had found two Runes of Recall attuned to the children's mother that were clutched in the hand of his slain assistant Orwyn.[8]
Flying high over the city, Cerrit saw the fires beginning in multiple neighborhoods and the panicked and screaming residents. He reached his home and his children, but as he promised them he would someday tell them all about what's happening outside, his Ring of Honor began glowing, detecting the falsehood. He assured them everything was fine and gave them the Runes of Recall but they sensed something was badly wrong. Frightened and crying, they didn't want to leave him. Telling them how much he loves them, Cerrit closed their hands on the runes, breaking and activating them, and the children vanished.[9]
In the final moments of Avalir, Cerrit's family, through the sending stone, told him they were all safe in Gwessar, where he was able to join them.[10] Although Cerrit wasn't able to give his kids the world that they deserved, he gave them a world that they could fight for with him.[11]
