Years ago, I asked Kent Davis to design my first ever D&D character, and I have been dying for an opportunity to work with him again. I had been a fan of the gorgeous and often emotional landscape and large-scale world pieces Kent had been drawing, but I knew how strong and thoughtful his character designs turn out.

Ivan Van Norman, who produced UnDeadwood with me, immediately concurred with my choice, and we reached out to Kent to see if he was available. He was gracious with our schedule and wanted as much info as we could give him about each character, because it all factors in for him. As you get to know these characters, I urge you to come back to these portraits, you may see something you missed or didn’t know to look for just yet — All thanks to Kent.

Kent Davis is a freelance artist and designer based in Salem in the United States.[2] He is an avid fan artist of Critical Role, and he has made artwork for official Critical Role material, including work as an interior artist for the Critical Role: Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting, Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn, and Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep books. Later, Davis was hired by UnDeadwood producers Brian Wayne Foster and Ivan Van Norman to create the official character portraits for the series.
