Kel'jaia Uleoh is a delegate from Syngorn on the Tal'Dorei Council, and their most popular choice for Master of War as of 836 PD.[1]

Appearance[]
Kel'jaia is a small but very strong gnome with a muscular build. She has dark skin marked with white dots across her face and shoulders, as well as a red-painted forehead; and she has long, black hair braided with golden beads. She wears colorful clothing and collars that match the cloth on her great axe, as well as gold bangles.[2]
Personality[]
Kel'jaia is confident, brave, and determined, showing great emotional resilience and tactical cunning. She's also idealistic, aspiring to unite Tal'Dorei against the cruelties of the South.[3]
Biography[]
Kel'jaia was born in the Rifenmist Jungle, and grew up around mercenaries, eventually joining them to help protect the population of the Peninsula from the Iron Authority. Kel'jaia developed her fighting style, becoming a Juggernaut barbarian.[3]
After one of the villages she was trying to protect was razed by the Iron Authority and her commander was killed, Kel'jaia left, traveling first to Syngorn, where she established several friendships and alliances, and then to Emon, using her connections to become the Syngornian delegate on the Tal'Dorei Council. The respect she has earned from Emon, coupled with her past merits, have made her the most acclaimed candidate for the position of Master of War, should the need arise. Meanwhile, Kel'jaia tries to further ties between her homeland and Tal'Dorei, hoping that the Republic will eventually take a firm stand against the Iron Authority.[3]

- Kel'jaia is illustrated conversing in Emon with Lady Kima of Vord, paladin of Bahamut; Alasterre de Vitrevos, director of Tal'Dorei's Claret Order; and Shirkuh Marín, a famous sailor and paladin.[6]
- The relief on her axe is reminiscent of a curved version of her dark pendant.[2]
- Matthew Mercer didn't mention Kel'jaia when listing the main members of the Tal'Dorei Council during the "Critical Role Campaign 2 Wrap Up" (Sx56), which should be current up to 836 PD and does not include a Master of War; he also said Syldor Vessar remained Syngorn's ambassador to the Council.[7]
