Kalym Telaarin is a drow priest of the Luxon in Bazzoxan.
Description[]
Appearance[]
Kalym is a drow man who, while quite handsome, has many scars on his face. His left leg from the knee down is missing, having instead a prosthetic of intricate design, carved from chitinous black rock and ringed with bands of pale purple light.[1]
Personality[]
Kalym is a dedicated and serious man, devout to his deity and loyal to his cause in Bazzoxan. He has a soft spot for those who show compassion towards the warriors of the city, rewarding them with magical boons.[1]
Biography[]
Kalym was born around 536 PD in the Kryn Dynasty. At some point, he joined the Aurora Watch, and he was assigned to Bazzoxan. At some point before 836 PD he lost his left leg.[4]
By 836 PD Kalym was a priest of the Luxon and still part of the Aurora Watch of Bazzoxan. He would pray near the Wall of the Unforgotten, being aware of the recent tradition of young members of the Watch, who, when they feared they could die before making a friend to hold a memorial for them, they asked someone to leave a keepsake in the Wall. Because of that, when Naevyn Tasithar sends a group of adventurers to place in the Wall a small tiger's eye rabbit with her name carved into the bottom, Kalym directs them in that task and starts a prayer to the Luxon, rewarding the group with Motes of Possibility.[5]
Character information[]
Most of Kalym's possessions and abilities are presumed to be consistent with him using the priest statblock (found in the Monster Manual, p. 348) and being a drow (as described in the 2014 Player's Handbook, p. 24). His one other possession has a specific reference.
