Kagaronks are dangerous massive burrowing creatures that tunnel beneath the badlands of the Hellcatch Valley in Marquet.

Description[]

Kagaronks resemble multi-legged scaled leopards. They are burrowing subterranean creatures that feast on flesh and bone.[5]

Kagaronks have a multiattack of bite and claw. The bite attack is poisonous, and if the victim fails a constitution saving throw they are poisoned and have disadvantage on attacks until they succeed on a subsequent save at the end of each turn. If the creature moves at least 20 feet straight forward, it can then do a pounce strike[6] which, on a failed strength saving throw[7], knocks the target backward. The kagaronk's AC is 16. It has no more than 163 hit points.

The creature has three legendary actions per round:

  • Claw attack (1 action)
  • Tail Whirlwind Strike (uses 3 actions) - 20-foot radius tail attack that inflicts slashing damage.[8]

History[]

Kagaronk - Milky Way Gal

Bells Hells encountered a kagaronk that had taken shelter in the caverns through which the Deathwish Run ran. The creature attacked, and the party both gave and took significant damage, but were able to outrun it and escape when it was knocked prone.[9] However, it pursued them and attacked again by cutting across the switchbacks of the route, knocking Laudna unconscious. After it was severely injured by Orym, Ashton was able to get the killing blow.[10]
