Jorlund Vohr is a male Emonian half-orc archaeologist, professor of archaeology at the Alabaster Lyceum, and spirit-speaker who has led multiple expeditions into the Frostweald and one to Visa Isle.

History[]

Around 802 PD, Jorlund led his first expedition to the Frostweald, where he discovered a buried cache of Ioun Stones and a silver tablet with Celestial script. He subsequently sent them to Emon's Alabaster Lyceum, but by the week of his return, his findings and research had all been stolen, with the exception of a parchment-and-charcoal copy of the tablet kept by him in a chest beneath his bed. Since then, Jorlund claimed that he had recuperated from the loss.[5]

In 810 PD, Jorlund led what would become the only surviving expedition to the ruins of Vos'sykriss on Visa Isle, during which he and his team delved into the city's deepest sanctums. This expedition unknowingly ends the ancient spell keeping the Sleepers in slumber, allowing the suspended serpentfolk to awaken.[3][6]

Jorlund had returned to Emon by the time of the Chroma Conclave's attack, during which, while Jorlund himself survived, all of his recovered notes and stone tablets were destroyed when his apartment was dissolved by the black dragon Umbrasyl. After the Chroma Crisis, Jorlund was eager to return to Visa Isle and was trying to get funding from the Alabaster Lyceum,[3] even many years after the fact in 836 PD.[4]
