Joran the Sea-Speaker was a Water Ashari leader and hero who wielded the Spire of Conflux, one of the Vestiges of Divergence.
Biography[]
Joran was a respected leader of the Water Ashari, and the Spire of Conflux was presumably passed down to him as it had been passed to succeeding generations of Ashari leaders.[2] He became known as a hero of the Verdant Expanse[3] before he ventured into the Endless Maze of the Abyss, where a goristro named Yenk devoured him and the Vestige he carried.[4] This seems to have happened in the 400s PD: in 811 PD, Allura Vysoren said Joran disappeared into the Abyss about four centuries earlier,[5] but a sourcebook set in 836 PD said it was "over three centuries ago."[2]
Character information[]
Joran was a spellcaster, or else he could not have attuned to the Spire of Conflux.[2]
