Claret Director Jette Brashan is an old and revered member of the Claret Orders, as well as a follower of the Matron of Death.[2]
Description[]
Appearance[]
Jette is a distracted-looking older man who avoids eye contact, as if his attention was divided between dozens of details around him.[2]
Personality[]
Jette is a strong-willed tactician with a devotion to his cause and beliefs and a great sense of sacrifice. His ability to read patterns and calculate the hidden nature of evil impressed his peers within the order.[2]
Biography[]
As of 835 PD, the elderly Jette inspired both fear and reverence as the Claret Director in Wildemount. He had sacrificed much in service of ridding the Material Plane of fiendish influence, and those who served him believed that he would someday happily give his life in that pursuit.[2]
Trivia[]
- His name could be a variant of the Danish term jætte, which comes from the Old Norse jotunn (giant).
- In 829 PD, Lucien Tavelle, training with the Orders in underground ruins near Berleben, was acquainted with multiple directors of the Orders,[3] and when he thought of a shortlist of those who maintained the Claret Orders, the names that came to mind were "Elias de Corvo, Karem Ferentus, Director Alasterre de Vitrevos, and others",[4] notably excluding Jette while including the young director of Tal'Dorei's Claret Order.
