Janet Varney is primarily an actor and podcaster who voices Vilya, Keyleth's mother, in The Legend of Vox Machina, Season Two. She is perhaps best known as the voice of Korra in The Legend of Korra, and as the podcast host of The JV Club and Avatar: Braving the Elements Podcast.
She was married to Chris Hardwick from 2004 to 2011, and was a host on the Geek & Sundry series Escape! With Janet Varney.[3]

- The Legend of Korra (in which Janet starred as Korra) was a spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Marisha Ray has said that she is a "huge fan" of The Last Airbender and that although she didn't do it intentionally, the character of Keyleth was influenced by the show[4] as both feature the four elements (water, earth, fire, air). In the opening scene of "Pass Through Fire" (LVM2x05), Vilya was seen bending three of those elements: earth, air, and fire.
