High Curator Jamil A'alithiya is the leader of the Marquesian archive of the Cobalt Soul in Ank'Harel.

Description[]

Appearance[]

Jamil is a human man with brown skin, brown curly hair, and hazel eyes. He wears mostly white and light grey clothes, and a white cloak (held by a golden chain) with blue designs connected to the Knowing Mistress.[3]

Personality[]

Jamil is a warm and astute individual, who uses other people's misconceptions about him in his own benefit.

Biography[]

Background[]

Jamil was born around 807 PD. He joined the Cobalt Soul and became a High Curator of the Temple of the Mentor. At 29 years old, he is the youngest high curator in the organization's history, which causes some people to underestimate him.[3]

Call of the Netherdeep[]

In 836 PD Jamil was concerned about the activities of the Consortium of the Vermilion Dream and their access to ruidium. Because of it, he sent his own agents to investigate and learn more about them, being willing to pay adventurers to help in this endeavor, and ultimately prevent the Consortium to access their source of ruidium.[4]

Appearances and mentions[]

Quotations[]

Trivia[]

  • His name means "beautiful" in Arabic. His surname seems to derive from the Ancient Greek alḗtheia (truth). The full meaning of the name seems to be a reference to one of the main functions of high curators: disseminate the truth.
  • His office in the Temple of the Mentor is on the third floor.[5]
