Jameson was a stablehand in Whitestone and a budding artist in 811 PD when he was discovered by Scanlan Shorthalt. As an NPC, Jameson is played by Matthew Mercer.

Description[]

In 811 PD, Jameson didn't really believe in himself or his artwork, but was known in the community as a budding artist. When approached about his talents, he was flustered and embarrassed, deprecating his art skills and being very humble until his art imagination was engaged, when he became thrilled and inspired.[1]

Many years later, Jameson had been True Polymorphed into a centaur by Scanlan Shorthalt.[2]

Scanlan's Painting - Thomas Brin

While working in stables on the southwest side of Whitestone, Jameson was approached by Scanlan Shorthalt to create a portrait of Scanlan, appearing much like the folk hero in Scanlan's home town named Fabio, who would frequently pose with windblown hair and an open shirt on a horse. Scanlan also wanted Pike Trickfoot depicted on the back of the horse with her arms around his waist and looking "super hot".[3] When Scanlan offered to praise him everywhere on the successful completion of the commission, Jameson pulled back and asked that it be kept private between the two of them.[4]

When the party returned to Whitestone later, Scanlan and Grog Strongjaw returned to the stable where Jameson worked. The portrait, now completed, was magnificent, and Scanlan became emotional contemplating it. He offered to compose an epic poem or song praising Jameson's skills and sing it far and wide, and Jameson accepted the offer, saying that he hoped to work his way out of "this dunghole".[5]

More than thirty years later, Jameson was one of Scanlan's companions and a member of his band the "Silver Saddles" as they were performing in a world tour across Wildemount. He had been True Polymorphed, along with all the other band members, into a centaur for ease of travel and enjoyment.[6]
