Ivon the Ironwilled is the former leader of the Rivermaw Herd. As an NPC, Ivon is played by Matthew Mercer.

Ivon was a member of the Rivermaw Tribe when it was conquered by the Herd of Storms led by Thunderlord Kevdak. He followed the Herd in raiding Westruun during the Chroma Crisis in 810 PD.
"At Dawn, We Plan!" (1x53)[]
Ivon stormed into a meeting held by the Herd of Storms and Vox Machina concerning the upcoming fight with Umbrasyl. There, Ivon announced that he did not recognize Zanroar as the new Thunderlord of the Herd, since he was just appointed by Grog after killing Kevdak, and planned to leave the Herd and reform the Rivermaw Tribe. Vox Machina attempted to intimidate Ivon and his companions, but they didn't back down. Zanroar told Ivon to leave, and that following the battle with the dragon, the Herd of Storms would not look kindly on deserters.[2]
Post-Campaign One[]
After Zanroar dissolved the Herd of Storms following their warriors' devastation at the battle against Umbrasyl, he and the remaining members joined the Rivermaw Tribe, which was lead by a tenuous alliance between Ivon and Zanroar.[3] By 836 PD Ivon was no longer one of the Rivermaw's leaders. Now called the Rivermaw Herd, it was led by Zanroar and his daughter Skyhaal.[4]
